Halloween hissing cockroaches start out as tiny black nymphs, but as they grow older they develop striking yellow, orange, and black stripes. This is a beautiful species of hisser and its ease of care makes it a great first pet insect.

Halloween hissing cockroaches appreciate a wide variety of fruits and vegetables such as oranges, bananas, apples, carrots, or potatoes.  This species can live at room temperature, but prefers temperatures of 80-85°F in order to breed readily.
