Big black beetle mimic roaches are beautiful feeder roaches. Nymphs are brown and like to burrow through the substrate, they look like ordinary roach nymphs and males and females look the same. Once they reach adulthood, the adult females look like beetles, but the males have a typical roach body pattern. This species appreciates a substrate such as coco fiber, dried leaves to chew on, and a variety of fruits and vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, apples, or oranges for moisture.
