Panda king isopods – Cubaris sp. “panda king”

Panda king isopods are an adorable addition to a humid terrarium. These are smaller in size than the rubber ducky and Cubaris murina isopods, but not so small that you can’t appreciate their ducky-like characteristics! Isopods are substrate cleaners and the adults and nymphs are suitable as feeders. This is a beautiful, hardy species that breeds quickly. They appreciate dried leaves and wood to eat as well as vegetables such as carrots or potatoes. Take care to keep the substrate moist because isopods will die quickly if their substrate dries out!

Note: I keep this species with temperate springtails, so there’s a small chance you’ll get a few of this cleaner too — don’t be alarmed! They’re perfectly harmless 🙂
