Alfalfa pellets are a good way to add roughage to your invertebrates’ diet. Alfalfa pellets are more nutrient dense than other forms of livestock feed and contain 16% protein, 26% fiber, ~1.4% calcium, and 1.5% fat. Use as a staple food or add to your substrate. Unlike raw alfalfa hay, these don’t tend to mold as readily and are more quickly consumed. You can use the dry pellets directly, or you can soak them in water to add softness and moisture content.
1 bag contains approximately 1/2 cup of alfalfa pellets.
